What is the function of an intercooler?
The intercooler is an important part of the charge air system in engines equipped with a turbocharger or compressor. Its task is to cool compressed air before it enters the combustion chamber. This increases air density and the amount of oxygen reaching the cylinders, supporting proper engine operation.

Symptoms of a damaged intercooler
Due to its location at the front of the vehicle, the intercooler is exposed to mechanical damage, contamination and intake system leaks. Symptoms of a faulty intercooler may include power loss, poorer acceleration and increased fuel consumption.
The new 98SKV group improves the availability of charge air system parts and further strengthens the SKV offer for the professional aftermarket.
